I was introduced to your music a few months ago and really enjoy listening to it! I arranged a pre-event dinner, before a book signing with Diana Gabaldon in July, and played your music. Got lots of positive comments.

Just wanted you to know you have a new fan from Salem, Oregon! :rose:

P.S. The only thing on my "Bucket" List is a trip to Scotland in 2017! Oo, it would be lovely to see you in concert while there. <s>

Hi there loeyc and welcome to the forum!

Hopefully the band will be touring in 2017 and you'll be able to see them though there's lots of interesting things to see and do in Scotland.

Hi Lorey

It's good to hear the band still has new fans coming on board. It's great fun discovering a band, but especially so if it's one as ancient as Runrig with a massive back catalogue to explore  You have plenty of catching up to do!

Bit quiet in here at the moment but ask away if you have questions :)

Thank You, All, for the nice welcome!

A friend of mine started posting Runrig music videos and I liked them right away. I bought a lot of their songs from iTunes and played the songs during a pre-event dinner I planned for Diana Galbadon's latest installment of the Outlander Series.

I am looking forward to visiting Scotland in 2017. Probably will take a tour around the places in Outlander (Cullodon, Edinburgh), but will take any suggestions you all might have.

Has the band ever done a concert in the US?

Just the once Lorey. They did a gig at the Nokia Theatre in New York in 2006. Back in '93/'94 they made a film called Air an Oir which was loosely a band documentary and included some filming inside a church in Harlem and around the Brooklyn Bridge. Other than that, they haven't really ventured into the US.

Thank You for the welcome!

It would be marvelous if it worked out that the band were playing when I visit.
