The Wire 71

Postby run132 » Thu Dec 13, 2012 12:12 pm

Arrived today along with the Christmas card. A quality magazine as usual. Well done to all those involved.

It brought back some great memories of the Danish tour and the Inverness gig. Having just about calmed down from the concerts over the last couple of weeks I can't wait for the Big Year 40!

Hmm, I live within a mile of the office but no Wire for me... would have been quicker if they delivered it in hand! Tomorrow hopefully...

But as long as I can see the morning
In miracles, much more than I can say
It's enough to keep me still believing
In drifting hearts so far away...

My copy arrived today :) A quick flick through has revealed that I made it in this edition at the Inverness concert after finding that the pictures of Scone showed me as a gap in the crowd :) I'm looking forward to a chance to read it properly

Lie beside the ocean
On summer days

Mine arrived today and I've already read all of it! :D A truly brilliant read! I spotted my dad in one of the crowds, and I know I stood in front of him at the time, but being short like me I must be hidden behind one of the people standing in front of me! ;)

Wahey, first time ever, I can see my mate and I in the Inverness crowd pic. We're standing by the camera flash in the crowd! I was tickled by the heading "Life Of Brian" :)

Absolutely lovely. The Wire arrived today. It takes a bit longer to get across the ocean and the continent, but so worth it. Lots of lovely pictures of the concerts and the band. Beautiful with all the commentary. Not lucky enough to get in any of the pictures, though just missed the Fredericia Vold shot of the audience. But still so exciting for me, as on p. 39 Mike included a write-up of the book I had made and sent to the office about the concerts in 2010 with lots of my band and fan photos. You might even spy yourself in one of the pics if you were at the Counting House that night. Such a thrill to see it there!! Thanks loads, Mike! :cam: :cam: :D
