COAST

Postby Trousers » Mon Feb 15, 2010 8:58 am

First of all, thanks to Andy and his SG colleagues for closing the previous COAST thread - much appreciated.

I've started this one as another 'catch all' thread for all things COAST so that we don't end up with several threads again.

I would urge the more enthusiastic 'Coasters' to keep this 'other music' sub-section to snippets of news and info that other runrig fans may be interested in knowing about the band, and perhaps appeal to those less enthusiastic to keep feedback as constructive as possible.

Cheers in advance.

Anyway, talking of snippets of info, for those who don't know, Andrew Huggan (aka bandanaman on here) is supporting COAST at the Skipinnsh Ceilidh Hoise, Oban, on Friday 26th Feb. Andrew is a great singer-songwriter - highly recommended!!

 If I have a few shandy's on the way up, it may not hurt as much

Finally got around to ordering the album. Unfortunately, I can't make it to the gig in Inverness, so I won't be able to get it there as I had planned. I'm sure I'll get to another gig some time though.

With some holding back. I like Coast but only one band has grabbed me before with so much ( that is Runrig |) but turning stone is destined to be a master piece . I am not going to keep whooping up these boys but the sample is beyond potential its going to be a classic and an anthem

The band made it to Oban last night for tonight's gig. As we are effectively cut off again up here in the Highlands, I hope that there is a wee break in the weather to get them up here from Oban.

There is no return,
Once the seal's undone,
Morning dawning with life abounding,
But in time we all must fall,
And it seems to be this way,
Hearts change and brightness fades,
And it leaves you facing the days,
When your hope is blown apart,
Life is hard.

Only when the last tree has died & the last river has been poisoned & the last fish has been caught, will we realise that we cannot eat money.

Yes, the Inverness gig was the one I was referring to. Listening to the traffic news this morning it seemed like most of the roads in the Highlands were closed or treacherous! A lot of the trains cancelled as well, and apparently some areas with the power supply cut off poor souls. I hope you're not snowed in yourself?
