Re: 40th DVD - un-cut.

This is just my view but, whilst all the videos on YouTube are a good reminder, I wouldn't pay £18 to have them on a DVD; I would want something of considerably greater quality

Re: 40th DVD - un-cut.

With all the flags obstructing the cameras, we'll be very lucky to get a DVD anyway

Re: 40th DVD - un-cut.

I would say that it would need some editing. Remember! What we saw on the screens would have been coordinated from the platform, the cameras wouldn't have cut themselves. This would need putting together.

Re: Question for the men....

To be honest, if he doesn't get Runrig or like them then there is no point in forcing it. He will get to the top, listen to it and still think 'what's this rubbish'.

Re: Great Gig... shame about the security and the idiots

I was really surprised to read all the comments about the drunks as I can honestly say that where we were positioned was fab (at the left of stage near the front). There were no drunks or people pushing in front and we had plenty of space should we need to go the loo etc. I though the whole thing w...

Re: Best concert ever-view from the chair

I was a bit annoyed. They could have squeezed you on if they wanted, they had squeezed someone else on just before you. That spot we picked was great though :). I was good to meet you and Jezza too mate, you're some guy haha. We had a fantastic time, even bumping into each other on the train back to...

Re: Great Gig... shame about the security and the idiots

I'm glad I was there but I chose to stand in an area where I wouldn't get crushed, have things lobbed at me or people jumping on my toes  . I did ask a few people to move so someone in a wheelchair could see the monitor. For some strange reason, there were a lot of people with folding chairs on...

Re: Great Gig... shame about the security and the idiots

I was stood near the barrier and left hand monitor and stewards were going in and out the crowd all night pulling out drunks who were causing bother........and that they had been told about.

Even the police were relaxed and gently spoke with folk in order to try and not spoil the party atmosphere.

Re: Yourself and Runrig

Barrowland is rough and ready but that holds a place for those who have followed the band for many years, I imagine, as a highlight of their music career.

I don't know about today but I think Barrowland was voted second best rock venue at one point. You either love it or hate it though.

Hoots is just up the road from wetherspoons and Blackfriars is on the opposite side of the road to The Iron Works if that helps https://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=inverness&ie=UTF-8&hq=&hnear=0x488f715b2d17de2b:0x624309d12e3ec43d,Inverness,+Highland&gl=uk&ei=uKcDUrCAIOKp7Aa-pIDYBg&...

Re: Weather and Underfoot Conditions - Muir of Ord

I'm taking my walking boots instead of wellies. I can't see the showground looking or being as deep as it was at Beat The Drum so I'll take the risk with just my boots

Re: Yourself and Runrig

I go on my own but I don't, if that makes sense. I travel on my own but there is always a familiar face.

I went to the last gig in Sheffield on my own but met a couple of people that I have previously had drinks with.

Re: Inverness Accommodation

There are a lot of fans who do not come on the Forum anymore for one reason or another. Not this forum but the unofficial forums previously, used to be quite nasty places to be at times.

Please don't question the strength of an individuals fan status, I feel it is wrong.

I could say what I think of the DM Forum moderation system but I think it is wiser not to say anything.

I'll just wait and see what the surprises are on Saturday.
