Re: BIG COUNTRY NEW ALBUM OUT 8TH APRIL

Got it on pre order and hoping its going to be a hit. So worried about it but also excited it will have the Big country signature sound with strong lyrics from Peters. Can't wait for it to pop on to my door mat later this morning. A good few reviews mention Runrig.

Re: The Seer

I have all the albums now Lighthouse except the seer live they are all superb but across the border and Organic are superb. I agree that wide eyed walker is staggeringly good.

Re: The Seer

My copy of wide eyed walker arrived today also ( what fantastic service from amazon.de ) and its simply stunning. Its been a couple of years since an album has taken me by such force. Losing my head is very apt and also absolutely fantastic. Brilliant stuff. I hope the other six albums arrive next w...

The Seer

Anyone else who loves this band. To be fair I have only just discovered them from a very good Runrig friend Fiona of Big boots and Celtic roots. I can't get enough of them. been going twenty odd years and clain Big Country and Runrig as influences on them. Really can't stop playing their you tube cl...

Re: Runrig - Still the best - No doubt - and a question

Back to the debate and I'm glad at least someone (Rooster) agrees with me. I'm not looking for Calum to replace Bruce/Rory/Brian and certainly I am not dissing his other attributes but his vocal on TBFR just didn't do it for me. I have never suggested Claum replace anyone just asking why he doesn't...

Re: Runrig - Still the best - No doubt - and a question

Well just goes to show how opinions differ. I think his vocal is great love its depth and to be honest prefer it to Brians. I don't want this to deteriate into who is better etc and accept people have different opinions. I just feel a Calum track or verse would only add to the vibrancy of Runrig. It...

Re: Runrig - Still the best - No doubt - and a question

Agree with everything you say Tiz except for Calums vocal. Rory is far better than him on TBFR and Saturday proved to me how far Bruce is ahead of Rory now (OK fair play to 2 guys in their 60s :D ) Just to clarify I wasn't meaning replace either Rory or Bruce at any point just the odd track or perh...

Runrig - Still the best - No doubt - and a question

Well what can I say without doubt Inverness for me confirmed Runrig as the best band in the world. It was the best set list performed with real passion and perfection by a band who were on fire and even more so now. Runrig are still the band that for me, I measure all others by, and they had Inverne...

40 th Next year

Right just back for Runrig conquering Inverness and having a great time but tinged with a little sadness. Losing one of your best buddies due to a gravely ill father was not nice. However seeing the Queen of the meets and one who used to make them happen has made me realize that it has been some yea...
